Funding

If you would like to donate directly to us then you can do so here. The Paypal Giving Fund allows charities to collect donations through PayPal and 100% of all donations come directly to us.

As a charity we run on a combination of grants, donations, corporate sponsorship and fundraising.

A list of our current grant funders can be found below and on our ‘About’ page. Examples of other ways we are able to keep operating include a recent generous donation from The St Andrews Church Mission and Giving Fund and sponsored activities including marathons. All of these efforts mean that we can continue our work providing support for local families in their communities.

Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP, a local law firm, currently sponsor us as their charity of the year, which means they are able to provide both monetary and practical support to our charity.

Maybe you have an idea for a fundraising event, work for a company that has a charitable arm or know of an individual or group who would like to donate things that may help the running of the project.

If you would like to help us in any of these areas, no matter how big or small, then we would love to hear from you.

You can either get in touch using the details on the ‘Contact’ page or email our Fundraising and Development Officer Hannah on [email protected]

Volunteering

We also welcome volunteers! If you are interested in any of the following volunteering roles let us know!

  • Play Work Assistant
  • Welcome Team Member
  • Promotions or Technology Champion
  • Fundraising Champion
  • Healthy Lunch Assistant

If you have other ideas of what skills you might be able to bring to a volunteering role with us then we’d love to hear from you. We offer Time Credits and some expenses for anyone that volunteers with KHFSP.

We’re always looking for members to join our friendly committee of trustee’s too. There is a minimum commitment of attending 4 evening meetings per year and in addition you could receive training relating to being a Trustee of charity. We’re particularly looking for people with experience in the childcare sector or practical knowledge of how charities operate, but equally if you have the enthusiasm and energy for what we believe in then you would be very welcome to join us!

We’re a friendly bunch who enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit (or three) during meetings! To find out more information get in touch.
